Mark Sarkisian, the engineer of Burj Khalifa is in Armenia

"Seismic safety can also be resourceful, creative and beautiful," states Mark Sarkisyan, a partner in seismic and structural engineering at the San Francisco office of the prestigious SOM company.

For the fourth time, at the invitation of "Renshin" company and "World Trade Center Yerevan," global industry leaders are converging in Armenia to share their expertise with local professionals and students in development, construction, and architecture. Mark Sarkisian, an esteemed engineer of Armenian descent, recently delivered a captivating lecture titled "Innovative Architecture Inspired by Creative Engineering" on May 31st. This event provided architects, developers, engineers, and students with invaluable insights into cutting-edge trends, particularly in high-rise construction within seismic regions.

Levon Kasparov, the operations director of Renshin company, emphasized the critical significance of seismic safety for Armenia, stating, "Seismic safety is especially important for our country, but, unfortunately, modern knowledge and experience in this field are not readily accessible to many specialists. Mr. Sarkisyan's lecture on the seismic engineering of the tallest buildings in the world will allow us to fill that gap."

Artashes Tonoyan, director of "World Trade Center Yerevan," stressed the importance of recognizing Armenian specialists who are shaping trends in architecture, engineering, and construction. He stated, "It is very important that we also recognize those specialists of the Armenian nation who today are creating trends in the field of architecture, engineering and construction. Mark Sarkisyan is one of those famous names, and we are happy that he expressed great willingness and presented his experience and knowledge."
